Le istruzioni su come iscriversi al Logbook of the World (LotW) dell'associazione di radioamatori americana ARRL sono piuttosto confuse e cotraddittorie, a seconda di dove si vada a reperirle. Il sito dell'ARRL ti dice una cosa, il software Trusted QSL (TQSL) te ne dice un'altra, sui vari siti dei radioamatori si leggono storielle interessanti ma le più divertenti si trovano nei vari forum radioamatoriali. Io, come radioamatore non USA, mi sono iscritto a maggio 2018, ho scaricato TQSL e l'ho installato. Poi...
Poi, dicevo, invece di inviare la lettera attraverso il servizio postale internazionale, ho scansionato l'attestato CEPT e l'ho inviato via email. Il giorno dopo, sempre via e-mail, ho ricevuto dall'ARRL il file per la firma dei log e la password per usufruire del servizio. Direi, quindi, che la diceria in base alla quale l'unico modo di iscriversi a LotW preveda l'invio di una lettera di carta, sia solo una leggenda, senz'altro ci si può iscrivere anche inviando solo un messaggio e-mail, risparmiando tanto tempo e anche un po' di denaro.
